I acknowledge the traditional owners of the land in which is video was made on, the Awabakal people.

In this performance for video the artist collect and cages dead Muttonbirds from Glenrock beach, Newcastle, on the land of the Awabakal people.

This repetitive action is a meditation on the process of acceptance and longing to hold onto something that has just passed or ended. It is a metaphor for sorrow, hope, uselessness and the desperation to grasp onto something that can never be again.
