For the performance Sometimes I Hear Trees Falling an audience gathered in Dominik Mersch Gallery in Sydney and stood waiting for the artist to come out and perform. In the artists place the gallery manager stood and read this handwritten text aloud as the artist cut down a tree synchronised with the words spoken. The performance playing out in the minds of the audience in the middle of a white cube in the city and deep in the bush in the dark where the artist stood cutting the tree.
